The 2009 Scottsdale Show marked the return of Aria Impresario and Michael Byatt to the place where he was introduced to the world so dramatically in February of 2007 as a yearling. Of course, that year, he won the Jr. Yearling Colt Class unanimously, the Junior Championship title unanimously and then was crowned Supreme Champion of the show. In 2009, he returned to Scottsdale as a three year old, and won the three year old colt class unanimously and then was crowned Reserve Champion Stallion behind the legendary senior stallion Magnum Psyche, shown by David Boggs. Impresario's big wins at this year's Scottsdale Show sets the stage for his return to the U.S. National Championships in the Three Year Old Futurity in October.
We also showed the U.S. National Champion Half Arab Gelding - "HeBeShowy" to the unanimous Junior Championship for half arabs. We are thrilled to be partners with the Acevedo family in this remarkable young horse.
New clients - Ed and Alicia Roberts showed Galatea JMF, their beautiful Gazal daughter and 3/4 sister to Marwan al Shaqab in the two year old senior fillies, handled by Dan Bergren, and took home a Top Ten award, finishing fourth overall in her class.
Aria Monaco, owned by the Jason and Andrea Bescoe Family and Desert Wind Arabians, finished 2nd in the senior yearling colt class, just missing first place by one point.
And we welcomed friends and new clients, Rich and Debbie Nemesi, the NBA All Star Detlef Schrempf, and the Indy 500 driver Lyn St. James to their first Scottsdale Show.
All in all, it was another standout year at the Scottsdale Show for the Aria group of horses, friends, and clients alike....and we hope you enjoy the video scrapbook created for Aria by the incomparable Darryl Larson.
Enjoy.....
