It Never Gets Old…

I recently had the privilege of visiting the magnificent Freeland Farms’ facility. I don’t know if I have seen a place like it. It’s grand, it’s a place of great magnificence, and it’s a powerful symbol of the American dream realized. Yet, in spite of all of the gravity of all of the material wealth, the most memorable part of my visit to Freeland Farms was my time spent with the people and with the horses, and it just never gets old to realize the power of the Arabian horse to bring like-minded people together who share a passion for this living treasure as has been done for thousands of years. As a result of the Arabian horse, I’ve had the privilege of getting to know one of America’s great entrepreneurs, Dick Freeland, and the Manager of Freeland Farms, Steve Lengacher. And while I recognize both of them for their successes in their fields, the best part of Dick and Steve, and all of the people at Freeland Farms, is that they are some of the most genuine and true people I have ever met. They care about each other, they care about their employees, and they care about their colleagues and friends in a way that is very unique and pure. And what catalyzed these relationships is the Arabian horse. Again and again, I realize and appreciate what the Arabian horse has done for me. Not the financial return, not even the ribbons and trophies won at the biggest events in the world, but at the heart of it, the relationships that have been forged in my life as a result of the Arabian horse. It never gets old….meeting great people….and making life-long friendships. If people get the chance, I encourage you to visit Freeland Farms…certainly to experience the splendor of the place….but moreover to meet some of the truly genuine and warm people in our business as well as some of the best Arabian horses. That’s what it’s all about…and it just never gets old…..
